This page is simply for you to practise various
Internet skills.
A Hyperlink is a word, sentence or
image that when clicked will take you to another webpage
or to a certain position on a webpage.
Hyperlink text is usually Blue and Underlined
(sometimes the designer sets a different colour or removes
the underline).
When you place the cursor over the hyperlink
(mouse over), the arrow will turn into a hand with the
index finger pointing up - this represents a Hyperlink
- it may also cause a panel (such as this one) to display. |
In the Downloads area are several 'hyperlinks'-
either text or images:
- Computer Basics guide
is the document that provided to you during your coaching. It
is a PDF file (portable document format). Clicking
on the link will cause a 'new window' to open
and commence downloading the document to your computer - you
will need Acrobat Reader installed in order
for you to view it - the link to download Acrobat Reader is
below.
- Larry's 'Master The Mouse'
will cause a download dialogue box to open, it will prompt you
to 'Save' the file, click on 'Save'.
You will then be asked to 'Save As' - select
the location you wish to save the file in (something like mydownloads
or similar on your 'C' drive) and click the
'Save' button - the file will then commence
downloading to the chosen folder on your computer. The file
is in 'Winzip' format and will require you
to have Winzip installed in order for you to 'unzip'
the file and install it on your computer - the link to download
Winzip is below.
- Winzip & Acrobat
Reader - 2 image/buttons that when clicked will
commence to download the chosen file to your computer in the
same manner as described above.
- Photo on the right side
of page is available for download. Simply place the cursor over
the photo and 'right click', this will bring
up several options, select 'Save Picture As',
next a 'Save As' dialogue box will open prompting
you to select a location to save the image in (same procedure
as all downloads).
- 2 Banner ads are below
them, when clicked, The DIY Window Tint Kits site will open
a 'new window'. The other one, ShopAussie will
open in this 'window'. When you have done that,
just click the 'Back' button to return to this
page. To open ShopAussie in a 'new window',
right click on it and select 'Open Link in New Window'
and it will do just that.
- Click
here for MySearch - for your convenience I have
a Search Engine & Directory page located at my other site
Joraen.com.au - it also has some quick links to international
online newspapers & phone books.
